Donating to the Library

Donations of Materials: The Library accepts donations of books, books on CD, music CDs, and DVDs in good condition. If the items are not kept for the library’s collection, they will be sold at the Friends of the Library book sale. The library does not accept donations of textbooks, magazines, encyclopedia sets, Reader’s Digest Condensed Books, cassettes, books on tape, or videotapes.

Donations are accepted year-round and may be dropped off at any time during regular library hours. Please do not leave donations outside the library or in the book drop. If you are donating a large number of items, please call ahead.

Receipts are available upon request for donations. Please note that we cannot appraise the value of donated items and receipts will reflect the description of the donation, not a monetary value.

Monetary Donations: We recommend that all monetary donations go through the Burlington Library Association’s (aka “Friends of the Library”) Donating Page.
